Part Time: Creative & Studio Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Offer & facilitate creative workshops and classes at The Creatory in various disciplines including but not limited to watercolour, acrylic & gouache painting mediums; sketching; paint nights; print making; craft workshops and various other creative workshops organised by The Creatory (mediums are subject to creative experience level indicated.)

• Host and or assist with corporate workshops and private event workshops.

• Run various workshops as set out by The Creatory, which includes preparation & artwork pre-designs, template designs, set-up for the day, delivering of the workshop and clean-up after the workshop commences.

• Conceptualise, create, and package new creative content and courses for The Creatory.

• Create workshop artworks, creative projects & worksheets to be used for the promotion of new workshops, new products, and other marketing material.

• Assist in the creation & conceptualisation of new products to be sold under The Creatory brand.

• Costing and pricing research for workshops and products required by The Creatory.

• Other studio responsibilities required eg. Packaging of orders for shipping, glazing pottery items – Training will be provided.

• Purchasing of items & managing catering required in studio for workshops hosted.

• Assisting customers, managing queries, and processing sales in-store.

• Assisting all other guest artists at the studio and the workshops that they offer as per The Creatory’s schedule.

• Attend training, courses and upskilling where required by The Creatory.

• Capturing moments in photo’s / videos in studio of workshops taking place. 

• Encourage sales in studio for signup to workshops, product sales in store and other products/services offered by The Creatory.

The above is an indication of the basic duties but is not solely limited to the above.

Working Hours:

​

Saturday - Sunday: 09h00 – 17h00

Hours will be on an adhoc-basis and are subject to change
+/- 2 working weekends per month

Occasional requests for after hours during the day / in the evenings for special events may occur – subject to your availability
